OUR FLIGHT CREW IS OUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET

The Flight Crew is truly a family and so we support each other every chance we get. Above is the 2022 Andy’s Avengers team, created in honor of our late founder, and featuring several members of our Flight Crew. See more photos below!

Take a tour of The Place Where Penguins Fly

Our office is designed to encourage collaboration and innovative thinking with everything our crew needs to make flight happen.

Here is a quick look at a few of our fun, talented and enthusiastic crew members who help to make Vision so special. From creative to production, account services to administrative, we are passionate about bringing all our skills and experience together to get you the creative you need, when you need it.

  • Andy Bittman

    Founder

Andy began Vision in 1987. From the beginning, his commitment to clients was the cornerstone of the business. But his sense of adventure and enjoyment of work informed the life of Vision daily. Andy had a unique imagination, and he wanted everyone at Vision to experience the same excitement that comes from a group applying multiple talents to the work. Add his generosity and wonderful sense of humor and Andy's legacy at Vision is clear. It made for a heady mix. We miss Andy tremendously since his passing in 2018, but because we’ve each learned from him, he’s with us still.

  • Sharon Petry

    President

Since joining Vision as a partner in 1991, Sharon has drawn on her experience in account management and marketing to help define and expand the agency’s direction and focus. Her current responsibilities include new business development, the daily management of the agency and strengthening client relationships. For inspiration and to keep a clear head, she runs a 5K every day. A former Tar Heel, she’d love to shoot hoops some day with Michael Jordan. Favorite indulgence: Watching the Mets. Words to live by: Whatever you do, do it with passion!

  • Lori Thompson

    Vice President, Account Services

Lori has been managing key accounts for Vision for over 13 years now. When not solving problems on the fly and overseeing the successful growth of major brands, this country girl likes to grow veggies in her garden with a little help from her pet goat, chickens and ducks. Worst Fear: Being stuck in an elevator. Favorite TV show: The Big Bang Theory.

  • Jenn Persson

    Senior Account Executive

Jenn thrives on developing strong client relationships by providing outstanding creative that is on strategy, on time and within budget. While a bit on the clumsy side in real life, she actually studied dance for over 20 years and is an award-winning dancer and choreographer. Guilty Pleasure: Shoes, shoes, shoes! Hobby: Out-crafting Martha Stewart.

  • Larry Price

    Creative Director

Larry is a strong conceptual thinker who has served as a mentor to many junior designers during his 15 years with Vision. Having published 10 books and counting, he’s a poet who knows it and a walking (well, more like running) literary encyclopedia. Superpower he’d like to have: Time travel to spend a night on the town with Shakespeare. Hobbies: Tai Chai and marathons.

  • Kelly DiGiesi

    Creative Director

Kelly is a talented artist and team leader with over 20 years of experience designing and managing complex projects from concept to completion. When not working magic for our clients’ brands, she enjoys running, working out and doing pretty much anything to stay fit except eating her veggies! Guilty pleasure: Italian hot dogs. Secret talent: balloon animals.

  • Scott Mele

    Lead Web Developer

Scott makes the creative team's designs come to life on the web for our clients. With 20 years experience in web development, he strives to build websites and applications with an excellent user experience in whatever platform or framework is right for the job. He loves to learn and one day hopes to be on Jeopardy. Hobbies: Crossword puzzles, collecting Funko Pops and playing Magic: the Gathering. Favorite rock group: Rush.

  • Kathy Phillips

    Senior Account Executive

Kathy loves the challenge of juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n roll, she has led a double life as a professional singer throughout her 20 year plus marketing career. Dream Gig: Opening for Tom Petty. Worst Fear: Caterpillars. Quote: If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.

  • Angela Horr

    Office Manager

Angela is an enthusiastic and driven marketing professional with a special focus on the food industry. Her background in the culinary arts provides Vision with unique insights as well as our own resident office pastry chef! When not cooking, she enjoys finding ways to incorporate polka dots into her wardrobe. Goals: To jump out of an airplane and publish her own cookbook.

  • Tom Galvin

    Production Manager/Copywriter

Tom has over 15 years of experience in production and quality control, and he has written and edited everything from ads to websites since first sneaking into the advertising world as a translator. He likes going for short runs along the Hudson and long walks in the city while trying his best not to proofread all the signs. Favorite Movies: Pulp Fiction, The Passenger.

  • Kathleen Wolfgang

    Project Coordinator

Kathleen ensures every project runs smoothly and provides seamless support to our flight crew. With eight years of experience in project supervision, she’s an organization expert who’s always at the top of her game and looking for creative ways to make penguins fly. Her creativity doesn’t end at Vision, however. Her favorite creative outlets include painting, reading, and watching movies. You can find her baking macarons, her favorite pastry. Random fact: she enjoys taking pictures of cool looking bugs!

  • Sammy Bittman

    Digital Strategist & Storyteller

Sammy specializes in blending creative storytelling with data-driven insights to develop impactful digital campaigns. With expertise in social media strategy and content creation, she creates engaging narratives that connect brands with their audiences. When not writing brand personas and social posts, she loves to write fiction, poetry, and even nonfiction and is currently expanding her skills pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing. Her Addiction: Coffee. Favorite TV Show: Broad City.

Although physically farther apart right now, we’re as close as ever! Here’s a socially distanced video message from our flight crew celebrating our Vision family and sharing why we love what we do. We hope this helps you feel a bit closer to our team and our mission to make penguins fly.

VCG Cares

We are always interested in lending a hand to important causes in authentic, creative, and tangible ways whenever possible. If you are involved with a charitable cause and are looking for support, please let us know and we would be happy to see if we can help.

PurpleStride Walk 2022

Ever since we lost our beloved founder Andy in 2018, we’ve been committed to supporting the much-needed research that The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is doing to support early detection initiatives and research. The Flight Crew participates in PurpleStride, a 5K walk to spread awareness & take action against this terrible disease. Thanks to the support of so many friends, Andy’s Avengers raised over $21,000 for PurpleStride & had over 40 team members in 2022!
