Happy Birthday, Jenn!

Whether it’s with some Dunkin’ or a new pair of heels, our resident fashionista will be celebrating this weekend and we couldn’t let her get out of an interview, even if her official birthday falls on a Saturday. We stole a few minutes to chat with her before she started her birthday weekend to chat about her tenure at VCG, her tweetable resume and tough decisions.

What’s your official title?

Senior Account Executive

What type of accounts do you work on?

Oh, a whole bunch. I work on consumer electronics, pharmaceutical, non-profit accounts and retail.

What’s a day in the life like for you?

None of them are the same. (Although they do always start with some coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts)

How long have been with VCG?

11 years…(wow) I know!

Do you have a hobby?

Shoe collecting and soccer mom-ing.

What’s your favorite memory?

Probably when we got to take our kids trick-or-treating around the office after a hurricane. Halloween had basically been cancelled that year, so it was nice that we could bring the kids in to celebrate.

If you had to choose: free Dunkin’ for life or ANY five pairs of shoes in the world?

Oh no! Free Dunkin’ for LIFE? Or any five pairs of shoes in the WORLD? Oh… I think I definitely have to take the shoes. Although I love coffee almost as much as I love shoes!

What’s your favorite thing in your office?

The picture of Ryan I have up there that Michael (one of our creative directors) took.

Happy (early) Birthday, Kim!

We’re up to our third April office birthday (and there is still more to come). However, this particular birthday belongs to the woman whose face you see first when you enter the office and the voice you hear when you call Vision. We stole a few minutes of her time to talk about her tenure at VCG, travel and birthday celebrations!

We’ll start easy. What’s your official title?

Admin…Office Manager…. sure, let’s go with Office Manager.

What’s a day in the office like for you?

Everyday is different and that’s what makes it fun!

Favorite place to travel:

(I’ll find out on my trip!) So far, somewhere warm with a nice beach.

How long have you been at Vision?

My anniversary is May 4th and that will be 13 years. (Wow!)

Do you have a hobby?

(whispers) I oil paint. Not a lot of people know that. (They will now!)

Where are you going on your upcoming trip?

The Netherlands and Italy.

What are you looking forward to most?

Wine…is that acceptable? (She chuckled.) Oh, tulips! I’m spending three days in Amsterdam and keep saying, “It’s so nice they’re having a parade for my birthday!”

Favorite VCG moment/memory:

Oh! When a prankster in the office completely wrapped a car in the parking lot in plastic wrap.

Favorite item(s) on your desk/in your office:

My smile on a stick! (It was a tough choice – she’s got photos and post cards and fun foreign pens, too!)

Happy (belated) Birthday, Katie!

As one of the newest members to the Vision team, we didn’t bother Katie on her actual birthday…but a day late isn’t so bad…right? We sat down with the bubbly (newly turned) 24 year-old to talk about travel, life before Vision and what’s coming up next.

First things first, what’s your title?

Graphic Designer

What kind of accounts do you work on?

(She chuckled.) Everything and anything. I’ve dabbled in cheese, pharmaceutical and even touched the whiskey business!

What are your favorite types of projects to work on?

Branding stuff. So concepts, I guess. More creative, because you kind of get to do whatever you want.

You’re relatively new to Vision. What were you doing before you joined us here?

I was working at Applegate, the natural and organic meat company. I was a graphic designer there as well.

Do you have a hobby?

I taught myself to play guitar about four years ago and I bartend on the weekends. So yeah, basically that!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Oh that’s hard. I think South America. I’d like to go there because it seems like it would be different than where I’ve gone already. I’ve been to Europe twice (Greece and Austria), and I’ve also been to Mexico nine times.

Tell us your favorite quote.

“To live will be an awfully big adventure.” – as said by Robin Williams in Hook.

We were going to ask if you had a favorite item on your desk, but there’s not a lot here. Do you have a favorite item?

Yeah there’s not a lot on my desk, but last year for Christmas I got a green beach cruiser bike. All it needs is a bell, but it’s fancy. I love it.

And last but not least, what are you looking forward to most in 2017?

We’re planning a trip to California. It should be fun, I’ve never been west of Pennsylvania (within in the United States).
